As the chief legal officer at HSC, George leads the legal, governance, ethics & compliance, and document management functions.

Experience and Expertise

George began his career as a prosecuting attorney with the National Labor Relations Board in Detroit. He then entered private practice as an associate, then partner at the Detroit office of Clark Hill PLC. In 2002, George joined The Dow Chemical Company and held various roles in labor and commercial law. In 2012, George moved to Dow’s Houston office and was named managing counsel for Dow’s Feedstocks, Energy and Hydrocarbons businesses. In 2015, he added responsibility as general counsel and corporate secretary of Univation Technologies, LLC, a Houston-based Dow subsidiary that is a global leader in licensing polyethylene manufacturing technology and catalysts.

George has a passion for mentoring and people leadership/development and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Temple Arts, which includes the Temple Theatre and the Saginaw Art Museum.
