Great Lakes Bay Pride is filling the region with fun this month.
Throughout the month, Great Lakes Bay Pride and its regional partners will host programs and events aimed at education the community about LGBTQ+ issues. The events celebrate diversity, equity, and inclusion in Bay, Midland, Isabella, and Saginaw counties.
Activities in June include:
- Pride Night at the Great Lakes Loons: Great Lakes Bay Pride partners with Dow GLAD to hold the sixth annual Pride Night on Fri., June 9. He games begins at 7:05 p.m. at Dow Diamond in Midland. Tickets are available here.
- Pop Up Pride in the Park: The second Pop Up Pride in the Park event takes place Sat., June 10 at Broadway Park in Mount Pleasant. It features a Two-Spirit presentation, local LGBTQ+ resources, food trucks, games, and more. Admission is free. The event is alcohol and drug-free.
- Great Lakes Bay Pride Festival and After Party: This regional event, presented by Dow, returns to Wenonah Park in Downtown Bay City on Sat., June 24. The festival runs from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The family-friendly event includes a children’s activity area, live entertainment, and vendors. Regional LGBTQ2S+ resources also will be available. Admission is free.
- After Party Drag Show: After Pride Festival closes, the After Party Drag Show begins in the Red Room at The Dow Event Center, 303 Johnson St. in Downtown Saginaw. Doors open at 8 p.m. and the show starts at 9 p.m. Admission is open to anyone 18 years and older. Tickets are $15 until June 15. After June 15 and at the door, tickets are $25. Great Lakes Bay Pride is a non-profit organization that provides inclusive sexual orientation and gender identity/expression (SOGIE) education, advocacy, networking, and resources to individuals and organizations in the Great Lakes Bay Region.
